Who Doesn’t Enjoy Chocolates for Christmas

Sweet Gift Ideas for the Holidays
As a life-long resident of New England, in all my years I’ve never been to the West Coast, but I’ve certainly had the opportunity to try some of the things they’re famous for!
My sister-in-law has a best friend from high school that moved to California and has lived there for years. Each time her friend visits and stays at my sister-in-law’s, she brings some wonderful chocolate candy as a hostess gift.
Each Christmas there’s a kiosk set up in one of our larger malls, and I’ve been able to share chocolate candy with my favorite elderly aunt. It’s a known fact that as people age, they develop a sweet tooth!
Doctors will tell you that candy will rot your teeth. But, we all know that everything is not as bad as it first seems when eaten in moderation. This includes candy. Here are some ideas for Christmas candies to dazzle the family.
It is a bad day when the candy jar on the coffee table is empty. Candy is the ice breaker when visitors come to your home. While they think of something witty to say, a candy helps them think. At Christmas, an empty candy jar is plain sacrilegious.
Hard candy, soft candy, citrus peel candies, truffles, brittle, and the like are all interesting treats to nibble on during Christmas. Properly store the candy so it will keep all the way through until the end of the year.
Chocolates are a classic gift shared around Christmas and the holiday season time. They’re an excellent choice to be sent to coworkers and loved ones to show that you care. Chocolates make for a great addition to gift baskets and can easily be sent to service men and women, offices, homes, and dorm rooms. Wrap the finest chocolates in beautiful paper with the perfect ribbon and they can be given as a romantic gift or tossed under the tree.
